Cases don’t make law. The most that can be said is that they might – i.e. if there isn’t error – be evidence of what the law is. This concept is in accord with lawyers who practice according to the natural law.
Of course, given that man made climate change is a hoax, any “law” based upon it isn’t de jure law. As an FYI, my understanding is that scientists have pointed towards the Sun as the source of climate change. There is a DVD about this.
You can violate a person’s rights through inaction. A parent can attempt to starve a child. A business can refuse to hire. Both of these cases are attempted murder.

There is no “inherent divinity” in human beings. It is true that the soul is naturally immortal, but humans aren’t God.
