The Iran War, into which we are now 15 days, may well be called WW3 in hindsight. It is not a war fought for the usual reasons, such as theft of resources. This is war driven by religious madness, by eschatological lunacy, where those pushing end times beliefs and messianic prophecy are driving the actions of both the US and Israel.

"Thirty years ago I gave a talk in Cambridge about the petrodollar, dollar hegemony, and gunboat diplomacy. Shortly after that we learned of the seven countries that the neocons wanted to wipe out. Iran is the only one left as a sovereign country. Iran is (was) surrounded by US bases. Israel has been calling the shots.

The idea that this war is not being fought primarily for financial reasons and due to BRICS system threatening the western banking hegemons is ridiculous. Other reasons for every war are always pushed by those who are really controlling the puppet strings. Now it has become obvious to those willing to open their eyes and dig deeper
It’s not either-or, it’s and-and. The war is being fought for geopolitical reasons, asserting American supremacy over BRICS, etc. Yes. However, upon examining the evidence, I believe it is the messianic lunatics who are the main drivers of the war. The messianic Zionists (which includes Hegseth as well as the Israelis) can bring other US leaders on board by appealing to gold ‘ole US imperialism. There are intersecting interests.
