Musk and Trump know how to play the media. Trump is a reality TV star. Most of this is for show. Both of them were linked in one way or another to Jeffrey Epstein.

As Epstein was such a networker as you say it's not surprising he would come in to contact with all sorts of people. Just because Musk was seen sitting at a table where Epstein was nearby doesn't mean he was involved in any of Epstein's perverse activities. He could be telling the truth when he says Maxwell photobombed the picture which she might have done deliberately and then introduced herself to Musk shortly afterward. To say that Musk is linked to Epstein because of the spat with Trump seems an exaggeration and strongly implies Musk knew about the perversions Trump is accused of. There's no evidence to prove that. As you say yourself a lot of people had business deals with Epstein but no involvement and propbably no knowledge of what Epstein was doing.
What I find interesting and extraordinary is that Musk has openly connected Trump with Epstein and would love to know when he found out about this connection and why he is revealing it now.
As an aside, a former girlfriend of Prince Andrew said the notorious photo taken of him with Virginia Guiffre is a fake. Of course a lot of people would say she is defending him because he is a friend and they had a relationship Also it's fair to say no one in that situation could be 100% unbiased. But she does have some interesting photographic evidence that is hard to plausibly debunk. She took photographs of the landing where the Prince Andrew, Virignia Guiffrre and Maxwell photo was allegedly taken when she went to the house after posing as a buyer.
She points out the summer clothes being worn by Guiffre and Maxwell and an open window in the background during a week in November which was the coldest since 1960. She measured the the landing where the photo was allegedly taken and had a friend stand in the same spot which Andrew allegedly stood in. Her friend was much smaller than Andrew yet there is much less space between himself and the bannister than there is with Andrew and half of Guiffre. There is also almost the same amount of space between the top of her firend's head and the top of the doorway as there is with Andrew's head and the top of the doorway despite Andrew being taller and broader than her firend. She says the photo is a composite put together to make it look like one single photo. At no point does she blame Guiffre. She points out many more anomalies and when asked why anyone would want to fake it she says the motive was to destroy the British royal family. Asked who would want to do such a thing, she says the Zionists.
